For fresh graduates like you and me, the most important thing is to know ourselves well , to find out the right position, and to stick with it. The BASF “Grow” Graduate Program gave me the chance to rotate, grow and select in two departments: Customer Service and Raw Material Procurement. The enlightenments from my guide and supervisors, the cross-department cooperating projects, and the face-to-face communication with international colleagues had ensured me to know BASF from different angles, and to know myself better. I will stand tall with full confidence in the future after experiencing the cautiousness at work in the beginning, to become competent and enjoy working.
Join BASF and discover120 all possibilities!

Two years ago, I joined BASF through the graduate program. It was really a good opportunity for me to grow and develop. BASF offers me various resources, from which I'm not only gaining professional experiences, but also enriching knowledge in many other areas. Now, I'm a Process Engineer of BASF facilities. My current work benefits a lot from my past experience in the program. In the past 2 years, I rotated in three different departments. My colleagues are friendly and willing to coach me. It is a pleasure to work with them. Although my graduate program is over, it has been the most precious experience in my career path.

How time flies! I’m going to complete my third rotation after one and a half years working in BASF. Three different positions, three supervisors, three types of responsibilities and three different working environment, which gave me the opportunity to experience almost all the functions of human resources, and to discover more about my strengths and interests. I had the opportunities to excel my potentials and become more professional, which created a solid foundation for my future career development. Most of all, I really appreciate my supervisors, no matter nice or strict, from whom I learn a lot.

It is wonderful to go through each rotation with fresh feelings in the Graduate Program: marketing, sales, supply chain... the experience in different assignments is valuable for me to gain broader business knowledge and solid technical capabilities. Learning by doing is an effective way to develop. It brings the pride of accomplishment as well as sense of responsibility. When you encounter difficulties, remember to have confidence in yourself and the people around you. I would like to express my thanks to my guide, supervisors, and colleagues for encouraging me. Just like the song: You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains. You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas. I am strong when I am on your shoulders. You raise me up, to more than I can be.

I knew about BASF from the activity of “Germen and China Moving Ahead Together”, where the Grow Program gives me the chance to join BASF. I have a strong sense of belonging to our company because of the normative and human-based management style. The tailor-made rotation plan designed by my guide, and coaching from my supervisor, plus experience shared by my colleagues all drive me to learn new things and to improve myself everyday.
I enjoy my job and want to contribute to the success of the company. I believe that I will receive even more.

It is exciting to join the “Grow” program. Great responsibilities are entrusted while extensive room for growth is provided. Taking my current job (Customer Service) for instance, I quickly picked up most of the work within two weeks, starting as totally a beginner who had no idea about SAP. Then I was given more responsibilities which are more challenging. Differentiated from other regular developing route, I believe my career development with this program will be more diversified.
